Tags

Well, I started looking at tags and found it interesting, although i did get a bit confused with tagging as in scrawling your tag over buildings and fences to make your mark. A bit like a dog peeing around trees. i also thought first of tagging new books for RFID, but I did get it. I did get into LibraryThings and I even remembered my log in and pasword (howzat!!) so had a little play ther and added some new books. A lot of fun. Next time, I get on my blog and do some more Web 2 stuff I'll have another look at this tagging thing

Library Related Wikis

To be frank I found them boring because I could not relate to them. However I would find a New Zealand Library related wiki very interesting and informative. Some of the general subjects eg crafts were interesting. Sjcplsubject guides quite interesting especially the craft section and some

Wikipedia

I have been looking at Wikipedia and am finding it very interesting. Unfortunately I get side tracked very easily and go from one thing to another, finding in the process interesting but not at the moment particularly useful information. There is plenty of interesting stuff on it but you do have to know how to frame your question/request. I asked for Scholl Sophie and nothing came up. I finally found her in a round about way by asking for Ulm. If I put Sophie Scholl instead, there would have been no problem

Images and Stuff

Somehow or other , I did this one before Week three. the reason, well I foolishly told Hewhomustbeobeyed that we were doing Web 2 at work. He ever helpful and knowing all things about computers started showing me what to do. This was after I vowed that there was noway that I was going to tell him about it. Now he keeps getting on my case about this whole darn thing. I guess that I will have to get him to help me just to keep him quiet.

LibraryThings

Well I've finished week three and thought it was most interesting. I enjoyed LibraryLibraryThing. I put in some of my favourite books and looked up some of the books I enjoyed reading as a child. One in particular was "Trespassers at Charlcotte" by Gillian Avery. I found it but didn't put it in. I could have spent hours playing around with it. I might even get around to playing with it at home, if I can remember my password!!!!

Library related blogs

Ok, I am finding this rather difficult because I don't really understand it. I have had a look at topix.net syndic8.com and technorati and have noidea why they exist. They are places it seems to me that anyone goes to to make comments about what is happening in the world especially the USA. I have looked for Sentor John Mccain and read some comments about him that I found interesting. I have also looked at at bloggers writing about Joe the Plumber and had a look at the state and art of blogging. I am not really enlightened.

I am finding this stuff a nightmare beyond imaging!!! Give me war with Doctor Who's monsters any day. They would be a lot easier to deal with.
Doing this exercise is turning the workroom into a mad house.

Scooter Queen

Hello this is Positively, not Me

I am as old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth. Actually I am a lot older than some of them.

I am very fond of scooters, knitting, books and the current Doctor Who.
